regarding Sept 23rd

The beginning and middle of my day. I hated most of my day; I'd rather not speak of it.

I went to Bible Study. We were discussing more declarations of the Chris and we were on Lazurus. Allison baked chocolate chip cookies and she attempted to foist the bag on one of us.

So I took the bag. I went to Lynn and Steph's room. Katie B was there and I talked with them and shared some delicious cookies. Lynn declined; she hates chocolate. I fixed her computer; it kept freezing up on her, especially the screen. This delayed her word processing and paper writing. I don't know how exactly I did it or howlong it'll last, but I cracked the code somehow. Windows ME is stupid.

Then I said my good-byes and see-yas and took the bag over to Mason to visit Lisa and Kelly. In front of Snyder-Phillips I spotted a wallet and three cards; I bent down and examined the items. I picked up the stuff. One card was a business card for/from the Macomb County commisionor, which made no sense. Another card was a credit card but the important one was the MSU id of the man. I recognized the photo and knew the first name. Huh. I picked up the cash and important stuff, the wallet of a friend that I hadn't seen in about a year. I pocketed the wallet and then went to Lisa's place. I would have endeavored to return the wallet regardless of whether or not I knew the guy.

I went in, found the room, knocked on the door and was invited in. "Cookies" was greeted with great enthusiasm, just as with Lynn and Steph. I set my umbrella on their couch as well as the bag of cookies and I told them of my find. I then asked if I could use Lisa's comp and then her phone. We were all somewhat amazed at the overall coincidence of the affair. I called and left a message on Greg's voicemail. I talked in a familiar tone of voice, said both my first name and last name and told him to look me up. After I hung up Kelly noted that I didn't leave my phone number and that it would be somewhat troublesome to 'look me up' without a clear and knowledgeable idea of how to spell my last name. I hung out with them for awhile and shared the cookies. I learned. I eventually left.

Then I walked to my car, parked at Akers, and started driving home. I was on the road between the Comm Arts Building and the cop headquarters when I realized that he couldn't just wait for this item. I discovered earlier that Greg was living in the dorms, in South Case and that seemed odd. But regardless if he lived in the dorm, then not only did I have what every man needs, his wallet, but I had his meal ticket!

So I looped around, drove to North Case, and got out. To get into Case, I simply swiped his card through the scanner as if I was him. Wierd. He was extremely relieved to get his wallet back and extremely boggled to find it in the hands of someone whom he already knew.

As it was, Kelly was half-right. His voice mail garbled the message; it sounded like "Chris Hunter" to him and he looked up a"Chris Hunter" successfully. But that didn't match the familiarity of the tone of voice. He didn't know a Chris Hunter. But he knew me and I showed up at his door with his wallet. Chris Arndt showed up with what he needed. He was extremely grateful and we hung out and caught up.

So now I know where an old friend lives. It all started with cookies. All these things just coming together and coming off of one another. It's too much and too perfect; of course there is a God.
